Man of the Year

No surprise here, although there are many on the two coasts wondering what happened. Here's a line of thought for those lamenting Time’s choice: Osama bin Laden was awarded this distinction three years ago. If it helps, just think of it as another evil person getting his just notoriety. (Or does it offend you that the President is compared to a man that Michael Scheuer regards with much respect?)

For my two cents, Bush has displayed the same steadfast determination that made Winston Churchill the icon of strength that he was for the “greatest generation.” Today’s generations seem incapable of understanding the value, or even the concept for that matter, of sticking to one thing. Music videos, ads, MTV, even Sesame Street have all combined to put the focus on “impressions” at the expense of character.
